The NPS app with Parks Manager
The NPS app with Parks Manager keeps a multi-park trip in Parks Manager while the National Park Service app and nps.gov stay the agency channel.
Parks Manager is not the National Park Service app, and it does not sign you into nps.gov.

What stays with the agency
Parks Manager is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the National Park Service, Parks Canada, or any other government agency. Official park information and rules live on the agencies’ own websites.
Official alerts, maps, and fee rules stay on the agency sites.
Parks Manager reads public feeds for parks you add, and it links out for the rest.
A United States national park page
Park conditions, entrance fees and passes, visitor center hours, and upcoming events are each their own section.
Merlin and the wildlife notes sit on the Wildlife tab.
The overview does not repeat Merlin.
Park conditions cover the national parks Parks Manager already tracks, not every unit the agency manages.
Places on other NPS units
Places and visitor centers also load for other National Park Service units that have a unit code.
That set includes monuments, historic sites, recreation areas, and seashores.
A wildlife refuge is not in that feed. A national forest is not in that feed.
Alerts stay on the national parks list, so a monument on a trip does not join the conditions poll.
The trip the agency app does not hold
The trip holds the order of parks, the crew, the route, and the check-in someone at home is waiting on.
The National Park Service app holds one park’s official story.
It does not hold the drive from the last park to the next, or the packing list, or the shared board.
What it does not do
The NPS app with Parks Manager does not stand in for the agency.
- Parks Manager is not affiliated with the National Park Service.
- It does not replace the National Park Service app or nps.gov.
- It does not poll conditions for every monument.
- It does not take payment for an entrance fee.
Common questions
Is Parks Manager the official National Park Service app?
No. The NPS app with Parks Manager is a separate product. The agency app and nps.gov stay the official channel.
Does a monument get the same alerts as a national park?
No. Alerts stay on the national parks Parks Manager already tracks. A monument can still load places when it has a unit code.
Does Parks Manager show entrance fees?
A United States national park page shows the public fee feed in Entrance fees and passes. Paying the fee happens on the agency site.
Where do the wildlife notes come from?
Wildlife notes on a United States national park come from the National Park Service feed. Merlin, which names birds, is a separate app.
All Parks Manager features are indexed in one place.
