Parks Manager

Scratch a visited park

Scratch a visited park in Parks Manager on the Parks map. Pick a country, switch the mode to Scratch, and tap the park. The foil peels on that board only.

A new personal board and a new crew board start empty. Parks Manager never copies someone else’s visits onto your map.

Where the map lives

Open Parks and pick a country. Scratch boards live on each country, not on one world map. If a country is locked, turn that place on under Settings → Places first.

A crew board has its own scratch map, kept separate from each member’s personal one. A combined view can show both and labels which board each park came from.

Peel the foil

Sign in so the scratch writes to D1. Offline, Parks Manager queues the tap and sends it when you are back online.

  1. Open Parks and choose the country that holds the park.
  2. Set the mode to Scratch. The other mode is Refoil, which puts foil back.
  3. Tap the park. Parks Manager saves the scratch on the board you have selected.
  4. If you tapped the wrong park, switch to Refoil and tap it again.

What a scratch can start

After a scratch, Parks Manager can offer to record the trip you already took or to plan another visit. That is optional. The map pin does not invent dates or a day-by-day plan.

Notes and visit dates live on a trip, not on the foil. Scratching a park is the record that you have been there. Building an itinerary is a different action under Add trip.

What the map includes

The scratch map is the curated national-park catalog. State, provincial, and regional parks that appear in search after you turn a place on are not the same foil poster. List and map chrome for those uses the postal abbreviation.

What it does not do

A poster, not a passport stamp service.

Common questions

How do I mark a park as visited in Parks Manager?

Does a new Parks Manager board come with parks already scratched?

No. Every personal board and every new crew board starts empty.

Can I undo a scratch?

Yes. Switch the mode to Refoil and tap the park. The foil returns as it was.

Can two people share one visited-parks map?

Yes. A crew board has its own scratch map, separate from each member’s personal map.
