Add a packing list
Add a packing list in Parks Manager after you decide you want one. A new trip starts with no pack items until you save defaults in Settings or add rows on that trip.
Parks Manager does not auto-apply a sample list to a new account. Stock templates exist so you can opt into one item at a time.

Why the trip looks empty
That empty list is the product. Auto-filling every new trip with a stock pile would mark gear packed that nobody checked. Settings says new trips start with an empty pack list until you choose items there.
Save defaults for the next trip
Open Settings and find the pack lists. Review suggested personal items one at a time and add only what you want. On a crew, do the same for the shared list — the things a party carries once, such as a stove or a filter.
New personal trips copy the personal defaults if you saved any. New crew trips copy the crew defaults into the shared list. Checking items off stays on that trip and does not write back to Settings.
Add items on one trip
On the trip, open Edit → Pack. Add a label and a category: clothes, toiletries, camp, hiking, kitchen, documents, electronics, or first aid. You can still fill from saved defaults if the trip list is empty.
- Open the trip and tap Edit, then Pack.
- Add an item with a label and a category, or fill from saved defaults if you have them.
- Tick boxes as you pack. Those ticks stay on this trip.
- On a crew trip, keep personal gear on your private list and shared gear on the crew list.
The reminder that makes the list useful
Seven days before a planned or booked trip starts, Parks Manager emails the trip owner or crew. When a pack list exists, that reminder says so. A later note, about two days before, says items are still unpacked if the list is not done.
Clearing a Settings template deletes the saved copy. New trips then start empty again. Existing trips keep the items they already have.
What it does not do
A checklist, not an inventory.
- Items have a label and a category. There are no quantities or weights.
- You cannot assign one item to one named person.
- There is no import or export.
- Parks Manager never auto-applies the stock list to a new account.
